Overview

Our DYNATORQUE SRD nondeclutchable manual overrides are used with pneumatic, hydraulic, and backdrivable electric actuators. These products are sandwich mounted as part of an automated valve package to provide manual operation of the automated valve if a loss of plant air supply, power gas, hydraulic fluid power or electricity occurs.

  • Standard ISO 5211 mounting dimensions on top and bottom flanges or custom machined for mounting to actuator and valve
  • Transparency to valve operation when disengaged
  • Alternative to DYNATORQUE SD declutchable manual override; DYNATORQUE SRD override is only for spring-return application
  • Eleven different frame and spur combinations provide output torque from 3,000 to 260,000 in.lbf [340 to 29,375 N.m]
  • Select frame sizes available with chainwheel option for spring return actuators in overhead locations

Handwheel and rim efforts shown are calculated at unit maximum torque rating. In the event that different handwheel and rim effort combinations are desired, please use the following formulas or contact Cameron for assistance.

  • To find handwheel diameter for a given output torque at a given rim effort, divide the output torque by the mechanical advantage and multiply the result by 2. Then divide this result by the handwheel rim effort.
  • To find rim effort for a given output torque with a given handwheel diameter, divide the output torque by the mechanical advantage and multiply the result by 2. Then divide this result by the handwheel diameter. 

The DT50SD and DT90SD have a 4:1 spur assist. DT54SD and DT140SD have a 6:1 spur assist.

Handwheels listed are recommended sizes to produce full rated torque with rim effort listed.

Standard mounting patterns on all units are per ISO 5211 (UNC) specifications.
